Netflix has dropped the trailer for its new rom-com featuring a student-teacher romance, My Oxford Year. The film is premiering on Netflix on August 1, 2025.
Set against the backdrop of Oxford University, the story follows Anna (played by Sofia Carson), a studious and ambitious young American woman who moves to England to study at Oxford University. There, she bumps into her charming professor, Jamie (played by Corey Mylchreest, of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story fame). She soon falls in love with him — and this is the point where her carefully mapped-out life starts to shift.
